- Complete the Application Form with your covering letter and resume by Friday, February 19, 2010. E-mail all forms to Bev Ohashi at bev.ohashi@tdsb.on.ca or Paul Au at paul.au@tdsb.on.ca.
- You will be informed by e-mail for an interview.
- Upon successful interview, selected candidates will be required to pay $1000 Cdn. ($800 for the AQ Course, $200 for travel costs) to York University (less $50 for York University Graduates of 2010).
- Return Airfare to Taipei and local accommodations (double occupancy) worth approx. $3,000 will be provided at no cost to selected candidates.
- Selected candidates will complete a three-week teaching assignment in Taipei as the practicum component commencing from July 5 to July 30, 2010 pending student enrolment.
- You must attend the orientation meeting on Tuesday May 4, 5:00 p.m. at Earl Haig Secondary School, 100 Princess Avenue, North York, ON, M2N 3R7, 416-395-3210.
- Details will be provided about the AQ in ESL that includes classroom instruction, on-line component, application of learning, and teacher inquiry project. Information will also be provided about the practicum experience and preparation to live in Taipei for one month.
- You must have a valid passport to February 2011.
- Faculty of Education students must take the AQ in ESL offered by York University. Tuition Cost is $1000 Cdn. ($800 for the AQ Course, $200 for travel costs, less $50 for York University Graduates of 2010 Students). Classes will be held at Earl Haig S.S. on:
