AYJGlobal schools are safe, nurturing, respectful, and positive learning environments that enable all students to succeed to their full potential. They are violence-free environments that promote a sense of belonging for all students. While at AYJGlobal Summer School, students, and staff will show respect for each other, for the school, and for themselves. Students are provided with sound academic programs, are informed of the expectations and evaluation procedures for each course, and are provided with regular and accurate information about their academic progress.

Students have the responsibility to:
  • Come to school prepared to learn, attend regularly, arrive in class on time
  • Respect the rights of others to learn
  • Respond respectfully and comply with staff instruction
  • Wear their student identification card at all times when involved in school activities
  • Apply the Code of Behaviour and the Acceptable Use of the Internet expectations
Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated on school property, on school buses, or at school sponsored events.

Prohibited conduct includes:
  • Use of cell pones or other electronic devices during school activities
  • Bullying or intimidation in any form
  • Vandalism
  • Smoking or the provision of cigarettes for others
  • Disruption of classes
First Aid:
If you are injured or want to report an injury, tell the nearest teacher. Staff will assess the situation and call assistance if required. School staff is not permitted to give medication of any kind, including aspirin. All injuries that happen on school property must be reported to the Coordinator's Office.

Lost and Found:
Any item of value lost of believed stolen should be reported to the office. The coordinator will make an investigation and inform the authorities if necessary. Insurance coverage can only be secured through personal homeowners' insurance policies. If you find anything that is not yours, drop it off at the Coordinator's Office or to a teacher. You'll be happily surprised when you have lost something and a considerate fellow student returns it.

Textbooks:
Textbooks are your responsibility.
  1. Take care of the textbooks
  2. Bring them to class when needed
  3. Return them in the same condition they were issued
  4. Pay for any lost/misplaced/damaged books
What if I have to leave the school during the day?
  • Present a parental/guardian note with the student's name, date, time, and reason for absence to the Coordinator
Dress Code Expectations:
Wear appropriate clothing that is clean and not offensive, vulgar, or distracting to others

The standard of dress at AYJGlobal is based on the principles of providing learning environments that are positive and respectful. A standard of dress shall be in effect at AYJGlobal throughout the Course.

Inappropriate dress shall include language and/or representation on attire that depicts violence, profanity, racial or gender discrimination or discrimination of any kind whatsoever, or that otherwise demeans an identifiable individual or group.
