About Us

Since 2002, AYJGlobal has been working in co-operation with the Toronto District School Board’s Continuing Education Department in offering secondary credit and non-credit summer courses in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The Toronto District School Board is the largest school board in Canada with over 500 schools at the elementary and secondary levels. Its Continuing Education Department services students in night school, summer school, and international languages programs.

Secondary School Credit Program

We offer courses in English, Business, Mathematics, English as a Second Language (ESL), Science, Social Science, Communications Technology, and Co-operative Education. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be granted an Ontario credit by the Toronto District School Board Continuing Education Department. These credits are recognizable in the province of Ontario and many other Canadian provinces as well as the United States.

Interactive English Program

The AYJGlobal Interactive English Program serves both elementary and secondary students from local communities in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Our teachers are certified in Ontario, Canada and have special training in teaching English as a Second Language. Many of these dedicated teachers have extensive teaching experience, enjoy working with students of diverse background, and thrive on new cultural experiences.

Students learn a language when immersed in a social and collaborative environment and through active participation, repetition, and routines. They expand their knowledge of the English language through stories, games, drama, and art. The mastery of oral skills will facilitate the development of reading and writing skills.

Teacher Training

Partnerships have also been forged with York University and University of Ontario Institute of Technology that offer additional qualifications (AQ) in English as a Second Language (ESL) for teachers that may be teaching overseas.
Our staff have special training in teaching English as a foreign language.

In additional, professional development workshops are offered to international teachers about teaching English through an interactive approach and differentiated instruction. International teachers will be exposed to a variety of instructional strategies and assessment practices.
